I recently stocked up on some of our new Spring & Summer Scents and want to share my thoughts on each of them. Over the course of the next few weeks I’ll provide some insight as to how well the smell carried, how close the description is, and what room this is best for. Sharing today: Clothesline and Braeburn!
First up is Clothesline.
I used Clothesline in our laundry room in the Whoot Nightlight. This nightlight we run 24/7 since it gives off a great glow (and bonus – always smells great in there!)
I wanted to check and see how long this scent would last. In the mini tester, it was apparent that the aroma was an awesome clean scent with a bit of a sweet finish. Once the wax melted, I could smell it through the hallway, into our living room, and the nearby bedrooms. It was present in these rooms for well over 24 hours. By day 2, in the evening, the smell became more mild, and was mainly apparent in the hallway (besides the laundry room). It took almost 4 days for the scent to disappear. That’s 4 days times 24 hours. One small Scentsy Wax Cube lasted almost 100 hours. That’s insane!
My husband described the Clothesline fragrance as a lot of fresh laundry (without even needing to put it away!). I would agree- depending on the detergent scent you use. I highly recommend Clothesline!
Purchase 3 bars in any fragrance for only $14. That’s $1 in savings!
Braeburn
I’ve tried a few Apple scents with Scentsy. One has been straight apple (Red Delicious, a 2016 Bring Back My Bar winner), one mixed with cinnamon (Baked Apple Pie), one more of a manly spin on the forbidden fruit (Apple S’Mores). I like the crispness of apple and was curious about this. While it’s not only apple (despite the name), this is a wonderful scent. I placed this in our kids’ room and it reminded me of Red Delicious with a sweet marshmallow finish. It’s not too candy-scented like some of the scents in our Kid’s Line, but it was wonderful!
In my laundry room, again running 24 hours a day, the Braeburn scent was strong for the first 24 hours and then tapered off into a light, but noticeable, scent for another 8 or so hours. (Thank you Steven for asking for the update!)
Purchase 6 bars in any fragrance for only $25. That’s $5 in savings!
